Let’s go to Cuba: M O J I T O

M O J I T O  was a favorite drink of Ernest Hemingway, one of the best writers in the world. Hemingway made the bar called La Bodeguita del Medio famous as he became one of its regulars and wrote on the wall  My mojito at the Bodeguita. This expression can still be read on the wall of the bar today, in his handwriting! Although the cocktail is commonly made with club soda, Hemingway preferred his with champagne.

Ingredients:
    4 mint leaves
    1 lime -for juicing
    1 teaspoon powdered sugar
    2 ounces white rum
    2 ounces club soda
1 sprig of mint- for garnishing
       crushed ice
